www.ladbrokespoker.com – As poker players, most of us have our good weeks and bad weeks, but rarely have I had such an eventful period of time playing poker as recently. I have learned a lot from these experiences too, having seen the worst and best that poker can bring. My run of live event placings has been notable, with a 4th, a 1st, and a 2nd place in the last three Wednesday nights. The one which I placed first in was a tournament I will remember forever. During that tournament I learnt that you should never give in and simply throw your last few chips into the pot. However long and arduous, there is always a way back in poker, while you still have a chip.
My Omaha endeavours have yielded mixed results, with 1st place in an online tournament and some good early cash table sessions, suddenly though, the draws aren’t hitting and the hands won’t hold up, but then I’m sure that will pass.
I have cashed in two Holdem MTT’s online but breaking into the last 20 players has been difficult, and perhaps some work is needed in this area.
Several key hands throughout these past few weeks I have felt important enough to write about and all held their own points of strategic intruege. I feel it important in poker to always examine your past hands and experiences, you must above all, never be too proud to be critical of your own play lest you hinder the improvement of your game.
No matter how good we believe ourselves to be as players, I feel there is always more to learn and ways to improve further.
I know that recently I have put in a lot of hours and was planning to give my mind a rest from poker tonight… Until my friend phoned me halfway through writing this to invite me over for a cash game that is. Invitations to play poker are ones I can never bring myself to refuse, and so my time for relaxation after a hectic few weeks, will simply have to wait. Ladbrokespoker
