ladbrokespoker.com – As is the case with many variations of poker, reading the strength of a hand is imperitive to playing the game successfully. Five card Draw happens to be one game in which your opponent swaps some of their cards, and in doing so, give out extra information about the strength of their hand.
As a general rule, I allow my reading of their hand to be guided in the following way.

If an opponent raises preflop and then draws three cards, they are likely to have a pair of Aces, or Kings. But as always, you should be aware of how loose your opponents are and how this might shape the starting hands they would raise with. If after a preflop raise, the opponent draws two, they may well have a three of a kind already.
You might think they are keeping a pair and a high card, and this is possible, but the size of the preflop raise or more tellingly, reraise, should aid your judgement in this regard. If they draw one card after raising preflop, a two pair is the most likely starting hand you are up against. No raise preflop, followed by a draw of one card and a raise on the river, can often indicate a flush or straight draw which has hit.
These general rules often prove true, although a more skilled and experienced player might try and represent different hands in this way. If you test these reads online however, you will usually find weaker players who spend most of their time playing Holdem, and you should have a good success rate for reading hands in this way.
